Dear Friend and Supporter of Matthew House:

As you are aware, Matthew House is a nonprofit tax-exempt community based organization providing food, shelter and supportive services to homeless and near homeless men, women and children.

Because of your past generosity, Matthew House has entered it's 17th year in servicing homelesss individuals and families throughout the Chicago area.

We are committed to continue exploring new and better ways in which we can be of service to those in need. Over the past several months we have experienced growth in new areas of service to the community. This coming year, Matthew House is looking to open additional transitional and permanent housing that would house up to 20 additional individuals and expand our case management services. Homelessness is still a major issue in Chicago, therefore Matthew House seeks contributions from individuals to maintain day to day services and necessities.

Your contribution of:

  • $ 1,000 will support a case manager’s salary for a month
  • $ 500 will help pay one month’s rent for a client
  • $ 250 will help support the salary for a Program Assistant
  • $ 100 will help purchase household goods for our scattered site housing program
  • $ 75 provides support and supplies for our job-readiness program and computer lab
  • $ 50 provides four meals for individuals who are homeless
  • $ 25 provides transportation for clients (for interviews or day labor employment)

We are urging you to help those in need during the upcoming holiday season. Vital program services may be cut without your support. Please join us in the fight against homelessness!

Sincerely,

Rev. Dr. Sanja R. Stinson,
Executive Director
